Privacy Policy
Effective date: 17 June 2026 Operator: iCube Tech Services Contact: icubetechservices@gmail.com
This Privacy Policy explains what information the Domain Tracker app ("the app", "we", "us") collects, how it is used, and the choices you have. By using Domain Tracker you agree to the practices described below.
1. Information we collect
1.1 Account information
When you sign in to enable cloud sync we collect:
- Email address — used as your account identifier and to send one-time codes for email verification and password reset.
- Authentication metadata — provider used (email/password, Google, Apple), Firebase user ID, sign-in timestamp.
If you sign in with Google or Apple, we receive your email address and a stable account identifier from the provider. We do not receive your Google/Apple password.
1.2 Domain data
For each domain you add we store:
- The domain name and any tags you assign.
- Public registration metadata pulled from WHOIS / RDAP servers (registrar, creation/expiry dates, name servers, public contacts).
- SSL certificate metadata fetched from the live host (issuer, validity window).
- The time the row was created and most recently updated.
This data is your own. It is associated with your account and synced across devices you sign in on.
1.3 Subscription status
If you purchase a premium subscription, the platform (Apple App Store or Google Play Store) handles billing entirely. We store only a boolean "premium / free" flag and the renewal date so the app can enforce limits. We never see your payment method.
1.4 Diagnostics
To find and fix crashes we use Firebase Crashlytics, which collects:
- Stack traces and the device model / OS version at the moment of a crash.
- A non-personally-identifying installation ID generated by Firebase.
We do not associate crash reports with your account by default.
1.5 Usage analytics
To understand which features are used and improve the app, we use Firebase Analytics (Google). It records anonymous, aggregated interaction events — for example that a domain was added, a backup was exported, the theme was changed, or which screen was viewed. We deliberately do not send the contents of your data: your domain names and the text you type into search are never included — a search event records only a coarse length bucket. Firebase Analytics also automatically collects standard technical context (device model, OS version, app version, and an approximate region derived from your IP address) tied to a Firebase-generated installation identifier, not to your name or email.
1.6 Device information
The app reads basic device locale and time-zone information from the operating system in order to display dates correctly. This information never leaves the device.
2. How we use the information
We use the information above to:
- Authenticate you and keep your domains in sync across devices.
- Notify you before a domain expires or an SSL certificate becomes invalid (local notifications generated on your device).
- Diagnose crashes and improve reliability.
- Enforce free-tier limits and premium entitlements.
- Understand, in aggregate, which features are used so we can prioritise improvements.
We do not use your information for advertising. We do not sell your data.
3. Where data is stored
- Account + domain data is stored on servers operated by iCube Tech Services and on Google Firebase Authentication. Both connections are encrypted in transit with TLS.
- Crash reports are stored by Google Firebase Crashlytics.
- Usage analytics are processed and stored by Google Firebase Analytics.
- Local copies of your domains live on your device in an encrypted-at-rest SQLite database so the app works offline.
4. Third-party services we rely on
| Service | Purpose |
|---|---|
| Firebase Authentication | Sign-in (email, Google, Apple) |
| Firebase Crashlytics | Crash diagnostics |
| Firebase Analytics | Aggregate, anonymised usage analytics |
| Apple In-App Purchase | iOS subscription billing |
| Google Play Billing | Android subscription billing |
| Public WHOIS / RDAP registries | Looking up the domain expiry data you ask |
| Self-hosted WHOIS scraper | Domain lookups proxied through our backend |
These services each have their own privacy policies governing how they process the limited information we hand to them.
5. Your choices and rights
You can at any time:
- Access the data we hold about you — every domain in your account is visible inside the app.
- Delete your account from Settings → Delete Account. This removes your account record, your domains, and your email from our servers, and signs you out of Firebase. The action is immediate and irreversible.
- Opt out of analytics and crash reporting by uninstalling the app.
- Email us at icubetechservices@gmail.com to request a manual export or any other privacy-related action.
If you are in the EU/EEA, the UK, or California, you have rights under GDPR / UK GDPR / CCPA respectively — including the right to lodge a complaint with your local data-protection authority.
6. Children
Domain Tracker is not directed to children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect data from anyone in that age group. If you believe a child has signed up, email us and we'll delete the account.
7. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when the app's behaviour changes. Material changes will be highlighted in-app on the next launch. The effective date at the top reflects the most recent revision.
